How to Use Format Painter in Word, Excel & PowerPoint 2016

Formatting a document, and you really like the look of a particular heading, and want to quickly apply the same look the other contents or headings, in your document. You can easily accomplish this using Format Painter command available on the, Home tab.

What you need to do is, to select the contents with the formatting you like, and then click Format Painter. Now, select the other headings to whom you want to apply the same formatting. That is all!

If you want to apply the formatting to multiple places, then just double click Format Painter button, and then start selecting multiple contents.

Whenever you need to stop, just press the Escape button from the key board.

Moreover, you can use the Format Painter in Excel and PowerPoint too.
