If your computer is connected to a home or work network, and doesn’t have an appropriate name, then you can easily rename your computer. To rename your PC in Windows 10, click the Start Button, and then click Settings. In Settings windows, click System, and from the left side pane, click About. Click Rename PC, and type whatever name you want to assign to your computer, and then click Next. To finish renaming, click Restart now.

You can also rename your computer, if you have This PC icon available on your Desktop. Right-click on This PC icon, and choose Properties. If you don’t have this icon on your Desktop, then you can also open System Properties by pressing, Windows + Pause Break keyboard shortcut. Under Computer Name, Domain, and workgroup settings, click Change Settings. Click the Change Button, and then type whatever name you like. Hit OK, and then click Restart to finish the changes.

You can also access the same settings from Control Panel. Right-click on Start Button, and open Control Panel. In Icon Views, open System, and then click Change Settings. Type an appropriate name for your computer, and restart for changes to take effect.

After restart, you can see if the name has changed from the same window.
